For the Fathers on Blue Cedar Lane

A few weeks ago, I did a photo shoot for 7 different families at the same time. Yes, it was a bit crazy. My sister, Lani, lives on a relatively small street, with only a dozen or so houses, but on Blue Cedar Lane there are kids around every corner and on that afternoon they all came together for their turn in front of the camera.

There were some props, but the main ones were the big wooden letters of 'D' and 'A'. In front of the lens I tried, with the help of the mom, to get the attention of the kid, to get them to hold the letter the right way and to have them smile and look like this wasn't torture. But how can I compete when the other kids were all playing together right next to little model? It was a crazy, fun, intense few hours. BUT I am happy to say the pictures turned out and now the fathers on Blue Cedar Lane all have matching Father's Day pictures of their adorable kids spelling out DAD.

As my sister put it, "Living here is just like college, only with kids!" It is a quaint little street where someone is also playing outside, the moms hang out together and pet dogs roam around. I am happy my sister lives there because this street is also my main babysitting gig, but more importantly because little Kai gets to learn how to play with others. And the 'others' are awesome families and I am so happy to get to know all of them!

Here are some extra photos of what was going on when the neighbors got to just play:

It was a fun day, full of giggles, smiles and kids :)
I hope the dads enjoy their presents!
