Yesterday, I needed a break from unpacking and organizing my new house/room, so I called up my sister and now neighbor ;), to see if I could take a break at her place. So she came over and hang out with us for a bit then we went back to her place and just got settled into watching X-Men, when she told me, very calmly, that we needed to go to the hospital because her water just broke! WHAT!? So then we piled into the car, picked up Brian from work then went to the hospital! Five hours later, Kai Leiton Koontz, joined our family! Kai (rhythms with Tie, is Hawaiian for Sea and Leiton is our Dad's name) He is perfect at 7.1 oz, 19.5 in and has a lot of black hair :)
The funniest thing was that last weekend Lani and her friends picked dates when they thought Baby Koontz would come and Lani's day was yesterday! Mother's intuition I guess!!
